This week all pupils in Carniny celebrated Safer Internet Day. This was an excellent opportunity to teach children how to be safe while online. In Carniny Primary School we encourage all pupils to follow the SMART rules.
S - Safe (don’t give out personal information)
M - Meeting (don’t meet up with anyone you only know online)
A - Accepting (do not open or accept messages or request from people you don’t know)
R - Reliable (don’t assume everything online is factual)
T - Tell (always tell a trusted adult about anything that’s worrying you while online)
