This week P1 have been looking at the story of ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’, so today we followed a recipe and made porridge!
We looked at the recipe, got the ingredients and followed the method. The children were counting how many spoonfuls they used, thought about the size of the bowls (small, medium and large), thought about how we could cool the porridge down and when the porridge was ready they picked their toppings and tasted it! After this, we made a Pictogram by looking at the question “Do you like porridge?” The children put their counter above their own answer. Before they went home, we sang a “Sticky Porridge” song! 🎶 🐻 🥣
We had a fun afternoon of learning!
