The Girls’ football team had a tournament today. We ended up being beaten finalists.
This was an amazing achievement as we only had 7 girls in a 8 a side tournament (2 girls were ill)
We defeated Gracehill (2-1), Kells (5-0) and drew with Buick (2-2) in the group stages.
We managed to get past Moorfields on penalties after a very tight semi final (2-2)
Clough eventually beat us in the final (3-1). In fairness we were exhausted!
Congratulations to the girls though, a very proud achievement for the school. Callie Gregg deserves special mention for scoring all the goals (Grace Compton also scored against Kells).
