We have enjoyed taking part in the pilot music scheme ‘Teach to the Beat.’
We have enjoyed listening, singing and moving to all of the Autumn themed songs. Our favourite song was ‘Autumn Leaves’ 🍁 which we have recorded with some actions.
We have also been exploring cross curricular links using the Autumn theme. We have links to Art, ICT, WAU, PDMU, Numeracy and Literacy.
In art we used painted and printed leaves to make hedgehogs 🦔
In art we cut up leaves and made a poppy craft for Remembrance Day
In ICT we practised using our mouse control to make autumn pictures on Jit5 paint 🎨
In Numeracy we used the instruments to beat out the syllables in our Autumn vocabulary 💯
In WAU we were talking about the harvest and the role of a farmer and made fruit smoothies 🍓🍌
In PDMU we talked about staying healthy. 🥗
In Literacy we were is listening carefully to the sounds of Autumn, talking about them and learning what syllables are. 👂
